Testimonials

Dean’s Testimony:

“Before I truly decided to follow Jesus Christ, I lived a life of many colors, a dark history of secrecy finding life in other people and earthly things, in essence living for others approval and desire for wealth & possessions. I have known Christ most of my life; however, did not follow Him, even though I knew much about the Scriptures.

“After receiving an extended sentence of incarceration Jesus finally got through to me to straighten my life out. During this time, I earnestly sought Him through much study of His word, counseling, and fellowship with fellow believers inside the system as well as outside.

“While going through the courts, The Spirit touched my heart letting me know that I needed to accept what was coming. Thus, I accepted the sentence as a time to work on myself. Through this time, He encouraged me to walk the narrow path rather than continue my destructive way where I hurt many people. Now with Him fully in my daily life I am involved in ministry to help others and serve in a Biblically sound and supportive congregation. I am a Servant of God.”

Elmer’s Testimony:

“The fall from Grace is a choice. The gift of Grace is a blessing.

“My early life was fairly normal, until imbalanced beliefs formed out of severe losses, harm to me, and my accepting warped concepts society had.

“My journey into sinful actions was one that was fueled by my own distorted beliefs. The harm I caused became a journey that caused a ripple of damage. This led to a series of struggles, denials, and an extended time in prison. That experience was fairly given to me. The depth of grief known crushed me. Learning how to cope in healthy ways was another gift, from chaplains, counselors, chapel programs, many volunteers, and the Kairos ministry.
Facing up to the truth of my actions brought an opportunity for renewal and redemption. That road took sincere effort, help and guidance from others and a deep soul searching.

“The Foundation for that change was, is, and remains grounded in Godly principles and Truths. Only by the Love of God, and a real miracle, one that was orchestrated and made possible by grace, I was given the chance to share the ways He worked. So that I can help others travel a road to Hope.”

Ken’s Testimony:

“I was raised in a Fundamental Baptist church where my parents attended whenever the doors were open. My father served as a deacon and my mother a strong Christian woman, and I was saved at age 9 or 10 at church.

“Life was normal through school, and when I graduated from high school, I went into the Navy.

“I mainly turned my back on Adonai God, and I caused harm to others, and all things I was brought up on! I got myself in trouble with God because I allowed my sin to rule my life. This caused me 23 years of my life in prison, it was there that I committed my life to the Lord, and determined to live for Him. Now I am working on being a role model for men who are coming out of prison and looking to restart their lives.

“I now am being discipled and following a Christ filled life. I am now attending a Bible centered congregation.”
